Massage
Tiffani Foster L.M.T. MA48674
Hi, nice to meet you. I’ve been a Massage therapist for three and a half years. I completed massage school at Space Coast Health Institute. After graduating, I became nationally certified and licensed in the state of Florida in November 2006. I have been through extensive training and certified in: Pre-natal Massage, Medical Massage, Neuromuscular Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy and Stretching with Massage as a combined technique.
My goal in every session is to individually customize each session to help your body work naturally to restore its own healthy balance.
I believe touch therapy is a necessity not a luxury. I encourage all first time clients to call me and discuss any questions or concerns you may have. My massage session prices are reflective of this ideal and made available so that all may take advantage of this powerful medium. Nothing compares to a truly genuine smile after a massage and an honest-to-goodness “thank you” that comes only from a satisfied soul. I look forward to meeting with you soon!
Treatments
Pre-Natal, Swedish, Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Sports Massage, Reflexology and Reiki.
Description of Treatments
Pre-Natal Massage
Pregnancy or pre-natal massage is a massage therapy specifically tailored to the expectant mothers needs. Helps alleviate back pain for expectant mothers, aids in circulation, and gives the mother rest and relief from common discomforts of pregnancy. I properly position the mother's body with pillows and padding so that she (and the baby) is comfortable and safe throughout the massage. My recommendation for maximum comfort is to use my special pre-natal table with hollowed out areas to accommodate your belly, and your breasts as well, so you can lie face down. Pregnancy massage can reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, relieves aches and pains in muscles and joints, improve circulation and mobility and relieve back pain. Benefits often extend beyond the physical providing additional comfort and emotional support during pregnancy.
Relaxation/Swedish Massage
A full-body Swedish massage is a great introduction to massage or a reliable on-going treatment to promote wellness. Flowing strokes are used as well as friction, tapotement, compression and kneading to muscles and soft tissue to promote release of tension and deep relaxation. Oil, cream or lotion is applied to the skin to reduce friction and allow smooth strokes. In addition to the inducement of deep relaxation, Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain and joint stiffness.
Therapeutic/Deep Tissue Massage
* Neuromuscular/Deep Tissue massage is great for pain relief and works very specifically with the muscles by addressing the origin and insertion of the muscle (where it begins and ends), the belly of the muscle and any trigger points (areas of pain). These techniques are ideally suited for clients with chronic pain resulting from a variety of factors including stress, strain and injuries, car accidents, and chronic poor posture.
Sports Massage
Used for general conditioning of the soft tissue during training and after competition. This technique can loosen the muscles, improving movement and performance. In addition, clients often experience faster recovery from training and injuries.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger Point Therapy is also sometimes called pressure point massage. A trigger point is an area of hyperirritability, a muscle that may refer pain sensation such as tenderness, spasm, numbness and tingling to other parts of the body. Manual direct pressure is applied and active stretching is used with these trigger points to reduce pain and improve function of the areas involved.
Reiki
Reiki is a form of relaxation, stress reduction, and pain relief that promotes healing on every level; mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional. It works by channeling the "Universal Life Force Energy". It's like acupuncture without the needles, or massage without taking off your clothes.
We all have different issues that we may be working through and different areas in our life that need work, the energy will effect each of us differently.
The best way to really understand what Reiki is would be to experience it yourself.
Reflexology
The art of Reflexology dates back to Ancient Egypt, India and China. This technique was rediscovered in 1913 by Dr. William Fitzgerald, and was introduced to the west. Dr. Fitzgerald found that applying pressure to certain areas of the hands and feet was linked to other areas and organs of the body within the same zone. Reflexology is a complimentary therapy, which works to heal the whole body, not just prevailing symptoms.
Benefits of Reflexology
Reflexology can help restore and maintain the body's natural equilibrium. This encourages the body to help to heal itself naturally.
Reflexology is proven to help in:
Back pain
Migraines
Infertility
Arthritis
Sleep disorders
Sports injuries
Digestive disorders
Stress and related conditions
Hormonal imbalances
