Yoga Teacher Trainings

Teacher Training/Apprenticeship Program: 
The Yoga Shala's Teacher Training Program.  Our Apprenticeship program is intended for students wishing to teach yoga to others, and also for those students that wish to deepen their own yoga practice.  Application and interview process is required before acceptance into the program.  Students that are accepted into the Apprenticeship program will work, over the course of a year, with Krista and Shannon to learn about the philosophy, history, and tradition of yoga; diet and nutrition, asana (postures), adjustments, chanting, Sanskrit, and much more (200 hours).  In Addition, all apprenticeship students must take part in the Mysore program through the duration of the apprenticeship.  During the course of the apprenticeship, students will observe, and later, assist in adjustments and teaching at The Yoga Shala.  This will provide apprenticeship students with real world teaching experience.  At the end of the training, students will complete a written and oral examination.  Upon completion of the apprenticeship program, graduates will be offered teaching positions at The Yoga Shala, and will be qualified to teach yoga in other yoga studios, gyms, and fitness centers.
