Three kriyas, Three pranayama from North India, and two classical Ashtanga pranayama; form and foundation light asana class, break for snacks and end with chanting and philosophy.

Mysore style class, followed by snacks; philosophy and chanting.
Shane Scaglione is a dedicated practitioner of Ashtanga Vinayasa Yoga of the late Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. Shane was born into a family of karate teachers. He started Shorin Ryu Karate at age 5 and continued the practice for 20 years. In 1998 he discovered SivanandaYoga while living in NYC. He completed his teacher training with Sivananda in Grass Valley , CA in 2004. In 2003, while living in Los Angeles , he met his principal teacher, Boulder, CO based, Richard Freeman at a workshop in Venice , CA, and Shane was introduced to the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. He moved to Boulder to study with Richard Freeman in the Spring 2005. In the Winter of 2005 encouraged by Richard Freeman to visit the source of yoga, Shane traveled to India. In 2006 Shane studied with Pattabhi Jois and his grandson R. Sharath. In 2007 he studied with his principal teacher Rolf Naujokat in India . He continues to return to practice with him in India annually. In 2008 he completed Richard Freeman’s Teacher Intensive in Boulder , CO .
Shane has taught in Boulder since 2005. He usually spends half the year in Boulder teaching, and half the year in India and elsewhere to continue to develop his own personal practice. He occasionally teaches in other places. In 2008 he did his first Vipassana retreat and has done several since.

Workshop Cancellation Policy/Refunds:
All cancellations must be made 10 days prior to the start of the workshop. Refunds will be given in the form of studio credit only (less a $15 processing fee). No credits will be given within 10 days of the start of workshop. |
