Friday, October 8th
Evening:
Introduction to Samkhya philosophy, the foundation of Ayurvedic thought. This will be an exploration through the eyes of Ayurveda how consciousness evolved into into matter and how it has proven to be a profound healing modality for the past 5,000 years in India and throughout the western world. This will serve as a simple basis for understanding the great depth of the Ayurvedic science. Free and open to the public.
Saturday, October 9th:
An examination as to what are the three doshas and what are their sub-types within the body and mind. As well as, understanding how the doshas function when balanced and how they function when out of balance. We will explore what specific causes according to diet and lifestyle that lead to illness and disease. Most importantly we will learn to understand the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of our own prakruti (personal constitution) which is the ratio of vata, pitta, and kapha determined at the time of birth. $50.00
Sunday, October 10th:
What are Ayurvedic protocols for treating imbalances according one's own prakruti (constitution). What are the different types of treatments for balancing vata, pitta, and kapha and how to kindle agni the digestive fire as well as simple maintenance for a healthy individual. The session will focus primarily on the healing benefits found within spices, food, and herbs specific to imbalance. $50.00

Bio: Kyle is a student of Dr. Vasant Lad and graduate of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He currently spends his time between Florida, New Mexico and Alaska continuing his studies in yoga, jyotish, and ayurveda as well as maintaining a busy teaching and consultation schedule. His interest in the ancient science of ayurveda was first awakened by his mentor Stanly Hubbard, acupuncture physician who inspired his studies with the world renowned Dr.Lad. Kyle will also be available throughout the week for individual ayurvedic consultations for personal concerns or imbalances.
